I grew up in the forested country, and have always loved nature deeply because of all the years playing in it. As I grew up I knew I wanted to protect it with the best of my abilities, so I concluded on organizing beach clean ups for my community. I thought getting involved with “Carry the Globe” would be a great way to get involved with a community that is doing good for the environment and hopefully be able to get my friends and family involved as well. So far I have planned three successful Clean Up’s one for my class that I Organized myself and two others for the greater public with the help of my activist partner Jackson Calhoun. I love hosting Clean ups  and getting to see people becoming aware of how huge our single use plastic epidemic really is.  In such a short amount of time we were always able to come back with piles and piles of trash.  A lot of what we found was made up of micro trash,  which would have been overlooked if we hadn’t made the effort to get on our hands and knees and pick it up.  I am excited to continue Organizing Clean ups and getting my community involved with the care taking of our Mother Earth.
